Bids invited for appointment of IE for Reconstruction of Berth No. 8 and Mechanisation of Berth Nos. 7, 8 at NSD in West Bengal 

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) has invited bids for appointment of Independent Engineer (IE) for reconstruction of Berth No. 8 and mechanisation of Berth Nos. 7 and 8 at Netaji Subadh Dock (NSD). The last date for bid submission is February 16, 2026. 

The duration of the contract is until 6 months.

The project involves Reconstruction of berth No. 8 and Mechanisation of berth Nos. 7 & 8 at NSD of Kolkata Dock System (KDS) at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer (DBFOT) basis under public-private partnership (PPP) mode in the state of West Bengal for a concession period of 30 years. The capacity and estimated cost of the project are 4,48,140 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) per annum and Rs 6,988.4 million respectively.
