The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) has re-invited bids for providing common road connectivity for the container terminal project (Stage-II) at Tuna Tekra. The last date for bid submission is August 25, 2026. Bids for the same were earlier invited in November 2025.
The scope of work involves providing common connectivity from Take off point upto back up area at an estimated cost of Rs 259.18 million. The completion period for the same is 12 months.
The project involves development of a container terminal at Tuna Tekra in Kandla in the state of Gujarat on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis under public-private partnership (PPP) mode at an estimated cost of is Rs 42,436.4 million for a concession period of 30 years. The capacity of the terminal will be 2.19 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units). The berth shall be designed for handling vessels of up to 6000 TEUs and up to 14 m draft.
