Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) won the contract worth Rs 2.5 billion per year for the maintenance dredging in Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) navigational channel (2022-25) on June 15, 2022. The scope of work involves maintenance of Mumbai and JNPA navigational channel including dredging of 20 million cubic metres plus or minus 20 per cent yearly. The work is likely to complete in three years.
