On June 19, 2023, the Union Minister of Ports, shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) had a joint review meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in Mumbai. Discussions were held regarding upon matters related to Vadadhavan and Mumbai Port and setting-up of Maharashtra coastal state pavilion at National Maritime Heritage Complex, Lothal. Presently, 126 projects worth Rs 1.13 trillion under the Sagarmala Programme are planned in Maharashtra. Of these 126 projects, 46 projects worth Rs 23.33 billion are partially funded by MoPSW, of which 37 projects worth Rs 13.87 billion are under the government of Maharashtra. Moreover, nine projects worth Rs 2.79 billion have been completed, 18 projects worth Rs 7.77 billion are under implementation and 10 projects worth Rs 3.31 billion are under development stage.
