According to reports, ports will soon be adopting a made in India intelligent vehicle tracking system (iVTS), which will save about Rs 120 million annually. Additionally, it will eliminate costly foreign made software. A vehicle tracking system at V. O. Chidambaranar Port, Tuticorin has been inaugurated recently. This software supports the goal of smart port initiative of Maritime India Vision 2030.
