RfP bid due date extended for Eastern Quay (EQ) -7 Berth Mechanisation Project at Visakhapatnam Port

The Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) has extended the Request for Proposal (RfP) bid due date for the Eastern Quay (EQ) -7 Berth Mechanisation Project at Visakhapatnam Port from May 30, 2022 to June 20, 2022. The RfP bids for the same were invited in March 2022. The scope of work broadly includes design, build, finance, operate, transfer (DBFOT) and the management, operation and maintenance thereof through public private partnership for mechanization of EQ-7 Berth at the port at an estimated cost of Rs 2.01 billion. The proposed facility will enable handling about 3.61 million tonnes per annum.
