The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has extended the Request for Proposal (RfP) bid due date for selection of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for four packages of the Chennai Port-Maduravoyal Four Lane Double-Decker Elevated Corridor Project (NH-4) from January 23, 2023 to February 6, 2023. The bids for the same were invited in July 2022. These are:

Package I: It involves construction of a 4.94 km long corridor from -0.34 km to 4.6 km at an estimated cost of Rs 9,870.4 million.

Package II: It involves construction of a 5.1 km long corridor from 4.6 km to 9.7 km at an estimated cost of Rs 11,790.4 million.

Package III: It involves construction of a 4.48 km long corridor from 9.7 km to 14.18 km at an estimated cost of Rs 9,463.7 million.

Package IV: It involves construction of a 6.04 km long corridor from 14.18 km to 20.22 km at an estimated cost of Rs 8,230.9 million.

The completion and maintenance period is 30 months and 10 years respectively. 

The project is being implemented under Bharatmala Pariyojana in the state of Tamil Nadu.
