West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC) re-invited Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for implementation of the Tajpur (Shankarpur) Deep-Sea Port Project on December 1, 2025. The last date for bid submission is February 27, 2026. Bids for the same were earlier invited in February 2022.
Besides, the pre-bid meeting for the project is likely to be conducted on January 14, 2026.
The project involves development, operations and maintenance (O&M) of greenfield port at Tajpur in the Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis under the public-private partnership (PPP) mode for a concession period of 99 years at an estimated cost of Rs 250 billion.
